Leather Gun Holsters

FIREARMS CARRY
Treat all firearms as though they are loaded. Any firearm with a live cartridge in the chamber has the potential to accidentally discharge. Certain revolvers and semi-automatic pistols should only be kept with the hammer or firing pin resting on an empty chamber. It is solely your responsibility to use and practice extreme caution when carrying or handling any firearm.

FIREARMS RETENTION
Never rely on the holster retention device to compensate for activity that could cause the firearm to dislodge. Always be certain that the firearm is fully seated properly in its holster. During increased physical activity your firearm should be held in place by hand to avoid dislodging from the holster.

FIREARMS HOLSTERING
Always be sure the firearm is uncocked before placing it in the holster. Attempting to cock a firearm while in the holster or carrying a cocked firearm could result in an accidental discharge. Always point your firearm in a safe direction. During holstering or unholstering your handgun keep your finger out of the trigger guard and always place your thumb on the back of the slide or hammer to prevent movement during placement. Be certain it’s properly seated in the holster and that any retention device is properly used.

HOLSTER FITTING
Your Brigade holster should only be used with the designated gun model it was designed for. If there are any doubts stop using immediately and contact Brigade. Before using a holster first check it for fit with an unloaded firearm. Despite Brigade’s efforts to fit the latest model handguns, manufactures of handguns continually update their products, and even minor specification changes can compromise your safety with respect to how the gun fits. Brigade will not be held responsible for such changes or other errors such as typographical or human. It is your responsibility to pay attention to detail with regard to your holster’s condition, including, but not limited to, stitching, snaps, rivets, or other retaining devices, for fit and function. If, at any time, your holster becomes worn, loose, defective, or ill-fitting, stop use immediately.

ALTERATION
You should in no way alter or modify your firearm or your Brigade holster. Doing so may cause accidental discharge. Brigade holsters are designed and made to function safely and effectively with modern, high-quality, factory-equipped handguns. Handguns using modified sights, target triggers, grip adapters or trigger shoes may interfere with the proper fit between the gun and the holster. Handguns with trigger shoes should never be used with any holster, due to the increased risk of an accidental discharge that may occur and cause harm, death, or serious bodily injury.

1. Store leather in a cool dry place. High humidity can cause mildew, while dry heat and direct sunlight can cause drying and cracking. If your product becomes water soaked allow it to dry at room temperature and not with direct heat.
2. If your product should become dry or scratched, treat the exterior with a commercial leather dressing that does not contain lacquer. Be cautious when using oils or dressings—too much will soften the leather.
3. Treat the interior of your holster with spray silicone to help protect against excess moisture. If you leave your handgun in the holster or other product, check it daily for moisture, condensation, or corrosion.
4. Storing brass cartridges in the leather loops may leave a greenish residue, which is normal and will wipe off. To prevent this use nickel-plated cartridges.

1. Upon receiving purchase, please thoroughly read all of the safety and other information contained in this catalog, or other information received with your purchase.
2. Visually inspect the product for defects in materials or workmanship such as snaps, rivets, stitching, clips, retaining strap device, belt loops, leather, or holster welts for looseness, breakage, weakness, dryness, or other damage. Color may vary slightly from holster to holster, since leather is a natural product.
3. If your holster should become defective, worn, loose fitting, damaged, or ill-fitting, cease use immediately.
4. If not satisfied with the workmanship or quality, you have 20 days from the date of purchase to return it. Proof of purchase is required.

The determination of the fitness or the suitability of any product for a specific use is the responsibility of the buyer. Your satisfaction is important. If not satisfied with the workmanship or quality, you have 20 days from the date of shipment to return it. If returning for other reasons within 20 days of shipment, a 20-35% restocking fee will apply. Call for return authorization number. All custom holsters and belts must be paid for in advance before processing. No refunds or exchanges will be given on custom/western orders unless proven defective from the manufacturer, within 20 days of shipment.
